Patrick Rothfuss just unveiled the cover art for the 10th anniversary edition of The Name of the Wind (Canada, USA, Europe) on his blog.

It was done by Sam Weber. The new edition will also contain more than twenty illustrations by Dan Dos Santos, new maps, and many more goodies! Check out Rothfuss' blog to find out more about it! =)

10th anniversary ... do i realy have to go on a rant here ?
i bet everyone knows what i want to say , cause they agree even if they won't admit it because of their "great courage".

It takes a special type of "courage" to come out with a tenth anniversary edition of a book (that was advertised as a completed trilogy) when the third book has no publishing date in sight, the author brags about not working on it and generally taunts the fans that allow him to live the celibrity lifestyle he currently does.

I'll say it. The guy is a hack. He's written 2 full length books, one of them was promising the other suffered a huge drop in quality (sex with redheaded ninjas for a third of the book?).
It's pretty obvious that he'd rather be a famous author and not an actual writer at this stage.

To be fair, I probably would do the same thing if I could get away with it. Who wouldn't want to podcast, stream video games, go to cons and generally faff about all day if you could- rather than actually work.

This is just embarrassing. This trilogy was heavily marketed as being finished when the first book came out, it was one of the main selling points. By my count we should have gotten book 3 at least 8 years ago, still nowhere in sight.

james : the author brags about not working on the third ??
first i hear of it, just makes me more angry that he's everywhere as some kind of high authority, and that people are ok with it !!!

Mr. Rothfuss can finish "Doors of Stone", but he'll never get another dime out of me. When, or if, that book ever gets published, I'll get it from my local library.
